Approximately 3-7% of children treated in Germany, and 5-10% in Canada and New Zealand experience hospital anxiety. The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) reports that 32 out of 100 children in Indonesia experience health problems. In 2020, 3.94% of preschool children experienced health problems and 7.36 were hospitalized. The aim of the research is to analyze bibliotherapy interventions for anxiety in preschool aged children (3-6 years) while undergoing hospitalization at the Jakarta Workers General Hospital. The research uses a case study research design method. The research results were obtained from the SCAS (Spance Children's Anxiety Scale) questionnaire taking 2 respondents. Respondent I is 4 years old and respondent II is 6 years old, female. Intervention was given 2 times a day within 10 minutes for 6 meetings for 3 days. The results of the study reduced anxiety as seen from the results of the anxiety score before the intervention, respondent I scored 60 and respondent II scored 55 with moderate anxiety and after the intervention respondent I scored 26 and respondent II scored 22 with mild anxiety. In this study, it was proven that bibliotherapy is one of the effective nursing actions to reduce the anxiety level of respondents, especially preschool children aged 3-6 years. Researchers hope that bibliotherapy intervention will become an alternative for society and the development of nursing science in reducing the anxiety of preschool children who are hospitalized.
2023-12-31T15:32:07+00:00 Copyright (c) 2023 Jurnal Keperawatan Degeneratif https://ejournal.akper-pelni.ac.id/index.php/jkd/article/view/35 Case Study: Application of Aloe Vera Gel Compress on the Degree of Phlebitis Due to Infusion in Children at Rumah Sakit Umum Pekerja 2023-12-31T15:36:03+00:00 Elfira Awalia Rahmawati [email protected] Putri Permata Sari [email protected] Fadhlurrohman Siroj [email protected]
The phlebitis rate in Indonesia reached 50.11%, exceeding the standard set by the Indonesian Ministry of Health, namely 1.5%. Phlebitis is an inflammatory condition of the veins caused by damage to the vessel walls or blood clots that form in the blood vessels. One of the non-pharmacological measures to treat phlebitis is the administration of Aloe Vera gel compress. Aloe Vera gel compress has several benefits because it can reduce bradykinin so pain is reduced; contains luteol, beta-sitosterol, compesterol, namely natural steroids that act as anti-inflammatory; contains salicylic acid, which prevents the formation of prostaglandins in inflammatory reactions. The aim of this study is to analyze the intervention of Aloe Vera gel administration against infusion-induced phlebitis in children. This research method uses a case study research design. There were 2 people surveyed. Subject I was 1 year and 2 months and subject II was 6 months. The subjects were children with infusion-induced phlebitis. The instruments used were Infusion Nurse Society (INS), Aloe Vera gel, SOP for Aloe Vera compresses, meters and phlebitis degree observation sheet. Aloe Vera compress are given for 20 minutes 3 times a day, at least every 5 hours, until the phlebitis disappears. Results of a case study of Aloe Vera gel compresses reduced phlebitis from grade 3 to grade 0 at both subjects. Thus, it can be concluded that phlebitis in children has decreased after given being of Aloe Vera gel compresses.
2023-12-31T15:32:55+00:00 Copyright (c) 2023 Jurnal Keperawatan Degeneratif https://ejournal.akper-pelni.ac.id/index.php/jkd/article/view/41 Buerger Allen Exercise on Reducing Blood Sugar Levels in Slipi Village West Jakarta 2024-01-01T06:25:33+00:00 Isnayati [email protected] Elfira Awalia Rahmawati [email protected] Sulistya Ningrum [email protected]
Diabetes Mellitus (DM) occurs when the pancreas does not produce enough insulin or when the body cannot use the insulin it produces effectively. The Buerger Allen Exercise applies dorsiflexion and plantarflexion gravity movements which are carried out regularly. Buerger Allen Exercise can stimulate the endothelium to release or excrete nitric oxide, thus giving a signal to the vascular muscles to relax, thereby widening the blood flow to the periphery of the legs, bringing nutrients and oxygen into the pancreas more smoothly, which can produce enough insulin to lower blood sugar levels. This study aims to identify an analysis of the Buerger Allen Exercise intervention to reduce blood sugar levels in diabetes mellitus patients in Slipi Village, West Jakarta. This research method uses a case study research design. The respondents studied were 5 people, average age 59 years with an increase in blood sugar levels > 200 mg/dL. The instruments used are a glucometer, Buerger Allen Exercise SOP. The Buerger Allen Exercise intervention is given once a day for 6 consecutive days for 15 minutes. The results of the case study research analyzed the Buerger Allen Exercise intervention to reduce blood sugar levels in diabetes mellitus patients with an average reduction in blood sugar levels of 35mg/dL. And the researcher provides advice to future researchers to recommend implementing the Buerger Allen Exercise for more than 6 days and providing knowledge about the diet of diabetes mellitus sufferers.
2023-12-31T15:33:32+00:00 Copyright (c) 2023 Jurnal Keperawatan Degeneratif https://ejournal.akper-pelni.ac.id/index.php/jkd/article/view/42 Back Rolling Massage Intervention on Smooth Breastfeeding in Postpartum Mothers 2023-12-31T15:36:04+00:00 Putri Permata Sari [email protected] Veronica [email protected] Isnayati [email protected]
Postpartum is the beginning of lactation, where the newborn should be able to breastfeed from its mother. Postpartum is 2 hours after the birth of the placenta until the next six weeks. A problem that often arises in the postpartum period is the lack of smooth breastfeeding. This research method uses a case study research design. The sample studied was 2 respondents. Respondent I is 45 years old P3A0 and respondent II P2A0 is 40 years old, with breast milk failure. Data were collected using an observation sheet for smooth breastfeeding and interviews. Before the intervention was carried out, it was discovered that 2 respondents experienced breast milk irregularities, namely respondent 1 before the rolling massage was given a score of 2 and after being given the rolling massage experienced an increase in score of 3 and respondent 2 before the back massage was given a score of 3 and after being given the rolling massage experienced an increase in score of 7, which means This means that back rolling massage provides benefits in increasing the flow of breast milk. With this, the back rolling massage technique can be used as an alternative to increase the flow of breast milk. Suggestions for postpartum mothers to use back rolling massage intervention as an alternative for smooth breastfeeding and can increase knowledge can also be established in the family maternity care center (FCMC).
2023-12-31T15:34:14+00:00 Copyright (c) 2023 Jurnal Keperawatan Degeneratif https://ejournal.akper-pelni.ac.id/index.php/jkd/article/view/44 Case Study: Progressive Muscle Relaxation Therapy (ROP) to Reduce High Blood Pressure in Elderly People with Hypertension 2023-12-31T15:36:04+00:00 T. Widya Naralia [email protected] Sri Atun Wahyuningsih [email protected] Siti Mahari Maqodasah [email protected]
One in three people in the world is predicted to suffer from hypertension. High blood pressure or hypertension can cause various complications such as heart disease, kidney failure, vision problems and can even lead to death. Hypertension often occurs in older people due to decreased function of the body's organs, including decreased elasticity of blood vessels. Hypertension treatment can be done through pharmacology and non-pharmacology, one of which is Progressive Muscle Relaxation (ROP) therapy. Progressive Muscle Relaxation (ROP) is therapy carried out by tensing the muscles and then relaxing them again which is carried out systematically in various parts of the body which is useful for lowering blood pressure. This research was conducted with the aim of analyzing the effect of Progressive Muscle Relaxation (ROP) intervention on reducing blood pressure in the elderly in RW 04, Slipi Village. This research method is case study on 4 respondents with implementation of the ROP for 6 consecutive days with a duration of 15-30 minutes. The instrument used is an observation sheet to record changes in blood pressure by measuring via digital spyghmomanometer. The results of this study showed changes in blood pressure in all respondents, with the average before the ROP intervention being 148/87 mmHg, while the average blood pressure after the ROP intervention was 132/84 mmHg. The conclusion of this study is ROP intervention has been proven to reduce and control blood pressure in elderly with hypertension. Researchers recommend ROP intervention to lower blood pressure for elderly people who experience hypertension.
2023-12-31T15:34:59+00:00 Copyright (c) 2023 Jurnal Keperawatan Degeneratif https://ejournal.akper-pelni.ac.id/index.php/jkd/article/view/43 Case Study: Application of Passive Range of Motion (ROM) to Increase Muscle Strength in Elderly People with Stroke 2023-12-31T15:36:04+00:00 T. Widya Naralia [email protected] Buntar Handayani [email protected] Eka Maulina [email protected]
Stroke is the second leading cause of death and the third leading cause of physical disability in the world. In Indonesia alone, 2.1 million stroke cases occurred in 2018, and 12.2% of all these cases occurred in DKI Jakarta. Stroke is a type of Cerebro Vascular Accident (CVA) which causes the supply and flow of blood to parts of the brain to be disrupted and causes the death of cells in parts of the brain. One therapy that can be given to stroke sufferers to increase muscle strength is passive range of motion (ROM) exercises. Passive ROM is body movement exercises that patients do with assistance in every movement or are not yet able to move themselves. This study aims to identify the level of muscle strength in elderly people with non-hemorrhagic stroke after Passive ROM intervention. This research method is a case study on 3 respondents with the application of Passive ROM intervention for 20 minutes. This intervention was carried out twice a day, every morning and evening for 6 consecutive days at each respondent's home in the Slipi. This research instrument uses muscle strength assessment with the Manual Muscle Test (MMT) which is observed every day. The results of the passive ROM therapy case study research showed that the three respondents experienced an increase in muscle strength by one level on the muscle strength scale, so it can be concluded that passive ROM therapy has an effect on increasing muscle strength in elderly people with non-hemorrhagic stroke.
2023-12-31T15:35:33+00:00 Copyright (c) 2023 Jurnal Keperawatan Degeneratif
